WE ARE A STATE INSPECTED MEAT PROCESSING FACILITY
Nathan and Stefani Petersen are a dynamic duo when it comes to the meat business. Nate who is an avid hunter, quickly saw the potential for himself to make a career out of something he truly enjoyed. He started spending summers in Alaska working on a fishing boat at the age of 15. He moved there when he was 17, and that is where he first started learning to butcher. When he turned 18 he could begin officially cutting meat.
Stefani began working in a local meat department at the age of 18 after getting promoted from the ice cream shop. Nate and Stefani met in the meat department and two years later, became happily married. In 2018, they had the opportunity to purchase a kill truck from a local processor and Nate slowly started taking on his own farm kill clients meanwhile cutting for someone else's shop.
In the Fall of 2021, they took the leap and opened their own cut and wrap shop and put in their own cooler space. This expansion allowed Nate to continue killing for local butchers, and also cut and wrap for himself.
Today, Nate has 23 years of experience under his belt and is now purely killing for their own shop, the clients that they also cut and wrap for. Him and his one employee, Kestan have days when their "office" are scenic views all around the valley doing farm kills. Other days they are in the shop cutting meat. Stefani comes into the shop to wrap and handles all of the shopping, bookkeeping, and gathering butchering instructions from customers.
When they aren't working you can find them in the mountains shed hunting, hunting for game, on the river fishing, or camping with their daughters, Allison (11), Avery (9), and son, Dean (2). They keep the "family" in family business, you may get to meet one of their kids who are playing nearby when you come to pick up your meat.
They are extremely grateful for the incredible customers they have and the ones that continue to call and book with them.
